MY STORY

A Little About Me

 

I’m a vocalist who just happens to play guitar.

 

My musical journey started at an early age, cutting my teeth playing Folk Masses in Catholic grade school. Before long, I won my first talent show, which led to my first experience in a recording studio—and I was hooked.

 

For about ten years, I performed as part of a duo with my good friend Todd. Eventually, I stepped away from performing for a while to focus on raising a family.

 

Then I learned how to turn on a computer…and I never looked back.

 

Today, I perform as Thom Scanlon — The Band From One Man, bringing the sound and energy of a full band to the stage as a one-man show.

 

I use a variety of electric and acoustic guitars, ukulele, guitar synthesizers, and other technology to create a full, live sound. My music covers a wide range of genres, including Top 40, Rock, Blues, Country, R&B, Oldies, and plenty more.

 

And I have to give some credit to my “band.”

 

Cakewalk is my sequencer of choice, working alongside my MIDAS audio equipment and Roland synthesizers to help bring everything together.

 

But at the heart of it all, it’s about entertaining people.

 

I love performing, connecting with an audience, taking requests, and making sure everyone has a great time.

 

One man. A whole band. And a whole lot of music.
